THE GARDEN
The garden of the house has been kept very natural and pesticide free. A purpose made worm farm and additional separate compost section provide natural fertiliser to the myriad of plants and shrubs.
A varied fruit orchard with passion fruit, pink grapefruit, lemons, oranges, plums, limes, loquats and cherries deliver an abundance of fresh fruits and produce throughout the year.
The current owner is a landscape gardener and has created a peaceful and relaxing waterfall which tumbles gently into a well stocked Koi pond.
You are spoilt for choice for seating as there are several terraces, each with different views and settings - an open air dining option, a relaxed seating option with comfy sofas and chairs, a sunbathing area, a sunset platform - even a sleepy hammock set amongst the trees.
The garden is designed to dazzle the senses all year round with scents, colours and taste. In the spring the deep blue sky is set off by the brilliant yellow flowers of the mimosa trees that canopy the rear garden, plus the heady scent of the citrus flowers; in the summer the bougainvillea, oleander and trumpet tree at the front of the garden literally stop passers by in their tracks; in the autumn the view from the lounge and front terrace give you a front row seat for the glorious sunsets and the end of summer thunder storms; and in the winter the mist that shrouds the mountain peaks and the ancient cork oaks that hug the house give the feeling that you are living in a Tolkein fantasy.
There are no worries about noisy neighbours as the land surrounding the house is designated as rural and therefore cannot be built upon. There is an option to buy a large piece of this land if further garden area is required.
