WILDLIFE
The house provides the perfect retreat for lovers of nature as the area is rich in wildlife and rare birds. The drive up to the house passes one of the largest stork nesting colonies in the Algarve and the valley that the house overlooks is home to Tawny Owls, Bonelli Eagles, Golden Eagles, Nightingales, Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers, Jays, Hoopoes, Golden Orioles, Chaffinches, Grey Herons, Wrens, Azure Winged Magpies, Storks, Tree Creepers, Egrets and Buzzards plus many more. There are also Wild Boar and Iberian Lynx living in the dense woodland of the valley, as well as the frogs that live alongside our brightly coloured Koi in the waterfall pond, and the skinks, geckos, brightly coloured butterflies and bees that live happily side by side in the garden.
